Laurie, the more I get to know you the more I like you and your wonderful honesty. It makes me think of all the souls we will meet in eternity constantly hearing a new story of what the Savior has done for them. It also reminds me that there are a great deal more "Lauries" out there that need Jesus. I have been a believer for 38 years! I was just a "baby". Pray God gives me "Lauries" here to minister to. Would love to sit down and chat with a cup of coffee. Lynn

I came to visit today to tell you that I have a surprise for you on my blog Heart Choices. But instead I spent time reading this post. How fun!!

As I scrolled through your very thorough list, I found that I was humbled and thankful because the Lord has given me so many opportunities in my life. I don't ever want to take those blessings for granted.

I've been to Hawaii, seen the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, seen the Sistene Chapel and the Vatican, looked with my own eyes at Michelangelo's David, rode in a gondola in Venice, seen the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, stood by the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, seen the thundering of Niagara Falls, and the splendor of the Grand Canyon. I've been whale watching from a boat, ridden on the back of a speeding motorcycle, walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty, stood in Times Square many times, visited the birthplace of my ancestors in Norway, hitchhiked as a teenager, had pillow fights, got fired from a job in a factory during high school (my friend and I were having too much fun and not working), tasted caviar (salty but good), have a mobile phone, chickenpox as a kid, stung by a bee, read many books in a single day, been to many drive-ins, taken a sick day when I wasn't sick, climbed a mountain, slept under the stars, been to Disneyland, sold Girl Scout cookies, read the entire Bible many times, donated blood, bounced a check, had pillow fights, seen a meteor shower and watched a lightning storm, given to charity more than I could afford at the time and saved many lives doing CPR as a cardiac nurse.

Wow; maybe I needed to do this exercise to realize how the Lord has blessed me and to quit complaining. And did I mention I love to blog; it's been a gift from God. Thanks Laurie for posting this.

This is fun. I just went through mentally and thought about what I had or hadn't done. It made me realize how much I would still love to do if the Lord ever allowed - like see the Sistine Chapel and walk in Jerusalem.
