Science Saturday: Fireworks & Spiders

What do they have to do with each other you may wonder? Well....nothing at all. I don't really care much about fireworks, but since it's the Fourth of July, and I didn't want to be a fuddy-duddy, here's some fireworks science:

And next is the cool one. Prepare to be disgusted:

The fireworks one was interesting, but the spider one was so cool. Both Terry & Pat have been bitten by brown recluce spiders - nasty things. I love that the lady zaps them with electricy or is that spider torture - personally I just step on them.

Well, I don't guess it counts as torture when the wee beastie is unconcious. It's merely an "enhanced interrogation technique".

I too prefer to squash them, but I try to do it so fast they don't feel a thing.

I swat, stomp, squash 'em. If they're on the wall, of course, then "stomp" is out. Fortunately we have only an occasional spider in the house. And living in a temperate climate we don't have to deal with the spiders we had while living in CA. Yay for colder climes!
