When I led a group of ladies through TheRare Jewel, I was concerned,as were they about it being to difficult. Turns out not one person dropped out of that (very lengthy) study for that reason. The rose to the challenge and we were all blessed.Laurie M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15840896949617719814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3441908040982501903.post-62248959663495520952009-08-11T07:30:27.561-07:002009-08-11T07:30:27.561-07:00Laurie,

It sounds like it because that is one of their premises - that reading is the art "by which you lift yourself from a state of understanding less to understanding more." I am reading that very book right now in preparation for the literature class I will be teaching this fall. This is such an important concept that many Christians simply do not understand. A young woman in my church said to me recently that she had stopped reading Isaiah because she found it too difficult. And I have lost count of the number of times when I have tried to recommend books to people and they have cut me short with that very statement made on the video, "Oh, that would be over my head." <br /> Interesting stuff. I can't wait to get into it with my students!Jessica Watsonhttp://www.cogitavi.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3441908040982501903.post-62170170265354628902009-08-10T07:16:46.821-07:002009-08-10T07:16:46.821-07:00Thanks for the tidbits, Laurie.
