I snagged another poem from Paul

This one made me happy. Maybe it will make you smile inside as well.

The Orange
by Wendy Cope

At lunchtime I bought a huge orange
The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave—
They got quarters and I had a half.

And that orange it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park
This is peace and contentment. It’s new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all my jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
I love you. I’m glad I exist.

What does keeping half say about servant leadership? Other then thirds is harder to rhyme if there aren't birds eating as well.

Nice poem. I am not a poetry buff. If not for your efforts I would get very little in my life.

If it weren't for my husband, and NPR's Writers Almanac on the way to work once a week, I'd get none at all.

Realizing that we have all we need in Christ, we then can truly delight in the little things, like oranges, that come our way. Maybe age, maybe not, but little things make me more and more happy. Thanks. Lynn
